New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the loss of lives due to the road mishap in Gujarat’s Navsari district. He prayed for a quick recovery of the injured.
He has also announced ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF for the deceased and Rs. 50000 for the injured.

Over nine people were killed and 32 injured in a collision between a bus and an SUV early Saturday morning in Gujarat’s Navsari district. The accident happened on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai highway.
After receiving the information, police reached the spot, rescued the injured and rushed them to the hospital.
Out of the 32 injured, 17 were taken to a hospital in Valsad, 14 were admitted to a hospital in Navsari and another wounded person was taken to Surat for treatment.
The nine bodies recovered by police teams were taken for autopsy.
The exact reason behind the accident is yet to ascertain.
