PM Modi Links BJP’s Rising Electoral Success with Increasing Protest from Opposition

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday linked the opposition’s attack on his government to the BJP’s emphatic electoral performances.

According to sources, the Prime Minister said, “The more, the BJP continues to taste success and rise, the more the attacks from the other side will increase. Have to be ready for a strong fight”. This was the first BJP Parliamentary Party meeting after the recent assembly polls in three northeast states.

PM Modi’s remark came at a time when the Parliament has been in a logjam in which the opposition continues to demand a JPC on the Adani-Hindenburg issue, and the BJP has demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi for insulting the prime minister.

Modi asked MPs to dedicate the period between the party’s foundation day on April 6 and BR Ambedkar’s birth anniversary on April 14 to the cause of social justice.

He said politicians should work for non-political causes as well as they have a lot of impact on society.
