New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met US President Joe Biden at the White House in Washington DC. After Mr Modi’s arrival at the Presidential Palace, Mr Biden along with the First Lady of the US Dr Jill Biden received him.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi and First Lady of the US, Jill Biden visited the National Science Foundation NSF in Alexandria, Virginia. They met students from the US and India who are learning skills to succeed in industries vital to the economies of the two countries.
MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, Mr Modi and the US First Lady participated in a unique event focused on promoting vocational education and skill development among youth. They discussed collaborative efforts aimed at creating a workforce for the future. Mr Modi highlighted various initiatives undertaken by India to promote education, research and entrepreneurship. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Modi expressed happiness that he met the young and creative people right after visiting Washinton DC. The Prime Minister thanked First Lady Jill Biden for planning and organising the event.
