PM Modi pays Homage to India’s Iron Man at Statue of Unity

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 147th birth anniversary at the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat, on Monday. As PM Modi offered floral tribute to Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, flower petals were showered on the World’s tallest statue by helicopter.

The birth anniversary of Sardar Patel is observed as  Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) across the country.

PM Modi also participated in the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ celebrations by attending the parade. The Prime Minister also administered the oath pledging to ensure the unity, integrity, and security of the nation.

“I am in Ekta Nagar but my mind is with the victims of Morbi. Rarely in my life, would I have experienced such pain. On one hand, there is a pain-riddled heart and on the other hand, there is the path to duty,” PM Narendra Modi said.
