Police Raids on Nightclubs & Dance Bars in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police conducted surprise raids at numerous nightclubs, dance bars, and hotels in different parts of Bhubaneswar. The cops conducted these raids as part of the ongoing ‘safe city’ drive in the capital city of Odisha.

According to reports, the massive checking was conducted in different dance bars, hotels and nightclubs located on Cuttack Road and Rasulgarh areas in the city last night. Over two platoons of the police force and senior officers conducted the inspection of around 10 such units in different parts of Bhubaneswar.

According to reports, the raids were conducted to ensure that the nightclubs and dance bars do not operate beyond the specified timings. The cops also ensured that the clubs and bars are not violating the terms and conditions imposed by the Excise Authority.

Reportedly, the Commissionerate Police has detected some violations in three bars and it is planning to take action on them as per the provisions of the law.
