Police SI Arrested in Bhubaneswar While Taking Bribe

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance has arrested the Sub-Inspector of Khandagiri Police Station for taking bribe. The SI was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹ 50,000.

The accused SI was identified as Susanta Kumar Swain.

According to reports, Susanta Kumar Swain along with another person named Chiranjiv Bala were caught red-handed by the vigilance while taking bribes. Reportedly, the SI demanded ₹ 50,000 from a complainant in order to help him in a case earlier registered at Khandagiri Police Station.

The vigilance team arrested the two accused and initiated a probe into the matter.
