President Murmu To Take Part in Puri Rath Yatra Tomorrow, Will Reach Odisha on 4-Day Tour Today

Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu will reach Odisha on Saturday on a four-day visit to the state. She will attend the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri on Sunday.

She is scheduled to arrive at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar on Saturday evening. After arrival, the President will attend the 96th death anniversary of Utkalamani Pandit Gopabandhu Das in Bhubaneswar.

On Sunday, President Murmu will visit Puri to witness the Pahandi and Rath Ytara of Lord Jagannath. Extensive security measures have been put in place for President Murmu’s visit to Puri to witness Rath Yatra. A VIP zone has been planned for the Odisha Governor, Chief Minister, Union Ministers and other dignitaries and a buffer zone has been planned for the President.

The schedule of President Murmu includes visits to Udayagiri Caves, interactions with students at Bibhuti Kanungo College and Utkal University, and the inauguration of the Divine Retreat Centre of Brahma Kumaris on July 8.

On July 9, she will attend the 13th Graduation Ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar.

The areas to be visited the President have been declared as ‘No Drone Zone’ and ‘No Flying Zone’.

A dedicated team led by a senior SP rank officer has been formed to supervise the visit of Murmu to the pilgrim town.
