Prime Accused of Soro Gang Rape Case Arrested

Balasore: Police have arrested the two accused who allegedly abducted and gang-raped two minor in Soro of Odisha’s Balasore district.

The prime accused were identified as Anil and Ranjan.

According to sources, one of the accused was detained earlier. The other accused was arrested while he was performing a folk art called Pala at Berhampur in Ganjam district.

Two minor girls were allegedly kidnapped and raped in the Balasore.

The matter came to light on Friday when Soro police officials launched an investigation into the matter after receiving complaints from victims’ families.

According to police, two Class X students in Soro police limits of Balasore district were kidnapped by miscreants on their way to the school and gang-raped. The victims were forcibly kept in a lodge for two days.

It is alleged that the miscreants drugged them and repeatedly took turns on them in the lodge.

The accused will be forwarded to court today.
