Ram Lalla Idol to be Placed in Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in 3rd Week of January 2024

Ayodhya: The idol of Lord Ram Lalla will be ritualistically placed in the garbhagriha of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya in the third week of January 2024. The treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj informed this to the media in Dombivli in Maharashtra on Wednesday.

According to him, by now, the work of the temple is 70 per cent complete. He was sure about the fact that Ramlalla will be installed in the temple in the third week of January 2024. Devotees will be allowed to have darshan of the idol from that day onwards.

The work of the garbhagriha, the first floor, and arrangements for darshan will be completed first. The rest work of the temple will continue.

On November 9, 2019, a five-judge Supreme Court bench gave the decision to hand over the entire disputed land spread over 2.7 acres to a trust formed by the government, which will monitor the construction of a Ram Temple at the site.

In February 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the constitution of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, to monitor the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Bhoomi Puja for the temple was conducted by PM Modi on August 5, 2020.
