Schools will be closed in these districts of Odisha: District Governor’s order

Bhubaneswar (Odisha Bhaskar): Hundreds of acres of agricultural land are submerged due to heavy rains and flood water. Many villages have been cut off from the outside world due to rising water levels. Meanwhile, schools in the Jagatsinghpur district have been ordered to remain closed till tomorrow. District Magistrates have ordered all BEOs to close schools. Schools that have or are likely to be flooded have been ordered to close. It is also recommended to keep school valuables safe.

Along with this, 32 schools in 3 blocks of Nayagarh district have been ordered to be closed for 2 days. District Governor has ordered to close the schools today and tomorrow. But teachers will be present in the respective schools.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the flood situation today. At 11:00 a.m., the Chief Minister conducted a flood review with senior officials. Our policy in all types of disasters is ‘All lives are precious. So ensure that not even a single life is lost and that there is no widespread disruption to normal life. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today reviewed the flood situation in the state and directed the officials in this regard. He also ordered the Chief Secretary and the Special Relief Commissioner to review the situation regularly.
