Search for Amritpal: Maharashtra Police on High Alert as Manhunt Enters Day 6

New Delhi: Fugitive Khalistani radical preacher Amritpal Singh is yet to be traced although the manhunt for him entered the sixth day on Thursday. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Police is on alert as it is suspected that this ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief may have entered the state to hide with an aim to escape out of the country.

The police force in the Nanded district of the state is on high alert. The movement of everyone arriving and leaving the district is being monitored by security personnel. Maharashtra ATS is also trying to pin down the fugitive Khalistani leader.

Despite the massive manhunt, Amritpal Singh is still able to dodge the Punjab Police. As it is suspected that he may be trying to escape from the country by using disguises, Punjab Police released a set of seven possible avatars of Amritpal with the hope that people could help identify and spot him.

Punjab Police also reached Amritpal Singh’s house in Amritsar on Wednesday to question his family. His mother and wife were interrogated by police officials.
