Severed Body Of Differently-Abled Man Recovered From House In Balangir

Balangir: The severed body of a differently abled man was recovered by police from a house in Balangir district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Rinku Meher of Salepalli in Balangir town.

According to reports, the matter came to the fore after the locals noticed a foul smell was emanating from one Markand Meher’s house in the morning and immediately informed the police about the same.

On being informed, police reached the spot and broke open the lock where they stumbled upon the decomposed, severed body.

As per the preliminary investigation, Rinku had brutally assaulted his father who was currently undergoing treatment at Burla and since three days, there had been no whereabouts of him.

Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, the kin of the deceased have alleged murder.
