Shocking! Man Starves 1000 Dogs to Death in South Korea

A 60-year-old man starved over 1,000 abandoned dogs to death in South Korea. According to South Korean Police, this man involved in the shocking animal abuse case has confessed to “taking in abandoned dogs and starving them until they died”, reported The Korea Herald.

But animal rights activists suspect a bigger conspiracy behind this mass killing of abandoned dogs. They allege that the old man was paid by dog breeders to get rid of canines that were past the breeding age or were no longer attractive to buyers.

The inhuman dog killer was being paid 10,000 won per dog to “take care of them”. But the said man was locking up the dogs to starve them to death.

A local searching for his lost dog discovered this horrific activity in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province of South Korea. As per reports, decomposed carcasses of the tortured dead dogs had covered the flor like a carpet. The starving dogs were confined in cages, sacks and rubber boxes.

During the police raid, only four dogs could be rescued alive. Two of them were in critical condition. The accused faces legal action as

South Korea has strict animal protection laws where those who kill an animal by failing to feed or water it on purpose face up to three years in prison or up to 30 million won in fines.
