Shootout at California Gurudwara; Two Injured, Probe Ordered

Two people were seriously injured in a shootout at a gurdwara in Sacramento County of US’s California on Sunday afternoon.

According to reports this shooting took place at the Gurdwara Sacramento Sikh Society temple on Bradshaw Road around 2:30 pm. The shooting took place during the gurdwara’s first Nagar Kirtan.

However, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Amar Gandhi told the media that this shooting was not linked to any hate crime. It was a shootout between two men who knew each other, he added.

The two people who were wounded were hospitalized. Around 3:30 pm. deputies were seen walking two men out of the parade in handcuffs, though it was unclear if either was involved in the incident.
