Student Forbidden to Sit in 10th Board Exam for Not Wearing Uniform

Nayagarh: A student was allegedly not given permitted to appear in the annual HSC exam in Odisha’s Nayagarh district.

The student was identified as Pradip Nayak of Radhamadhab Nodal High School at Daspalla in Nayagarh district. After being stopped from being examined, the boy went missing.

As he did not return home, his family members lodged a complaint at the Daspalla police station. “Pardip was told by a teacher, Rajalaxmi Mohapatra, that he won’t be allowed to appear for the exam since he was not in uniform,” said mother Deepali Nayak.

According to sources, Pradip left home at 7 am in a white shirt and black jeans. The family said that being poor they were unable to buy the uniform.

As per the latest update, police have found the boy and begun to probe into the incident.
