Sumitra Jena, the female police officer of Koraput who made Odisha proud, will get the police medal for excellence in investigation!

Koraput women police made Odisha proud. Police officer DIB, DSP Sumitra Jena has been considered for the police medal for excellence in investigations. In 2016, the police filed a case and started an investigation into the incident of killing an unknown married woman and throwing her in the dam.

The incident was investigated and 4 culprits were punished. Sumitra Jena has been awarded a medal by the Union Home Ministry for her success in the investigation and the punishment of the guilty. Sumitra Jena is one of the four police officers from Odisha who have been considered eligible to receive the medal.
