Tanker Driven by Minor Boy Hits Scooter in Pune, 2 Injured

Pune: A 14-year-old boy was detained by the Pune Police on Saturday for driving a water tanker which collided with a scooter injuring two persons. Police have arrested the tanker owner.

This incident took place at around 6.30 am on Saturday near the Everjoy Cooperative Housing Society, the National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM), Kondhawa. After the accident, the locals apprehended the minor and handed him over to the police.

The two injured were admitted to Satyanand Hospital in Kondhwa.

Police said that a Pisoli resident was riding her scooter with fellow members of a sports academy when their vehicle was hit by the tanker from behind.

Mahendra Borate, the tanker owner, has been taken into custody.
