Tiger Panic Grips Kandhamal Villagers! It’s Hyna, Say Forest Officials

Baliguda: Local residents and road users of Ward number-1 of Badagaon village of Baliguda in were left on edge following reports of a tiger roaming around in the area a week ago.

According to reports, the matter came to the fore after a pump house e worker spotted the tiger roaming around the river banks near the pump house of Badagaon and later informed the Forest Department about the tiger.

Acting on information, two teams led by Forester in-charge, Satya Narayan Mohanty reached the spot and are conducting patrols in the area all night.

As per the preliminary investigation, it was learnt that the footprints are hyena footprints.
