Two Poachers Held With Porcupine Meat In Satkosia

Angul: Police on Tuesday arrested two poachers for allegedly possessing porcupine meat in the Jilinda range under the Satkosia wildlife division in Angul district.

The arrested accused persons have been identified as Ajay Behera and Anand Sahu.

Acting on a tip-off, the officials conducted a raid and arrested the accused while they were returning from the forest after killing a porcupine with a country-made rifle.

The cops have seized two kg of porcupine meat, a country-made rifle and other incriminating materials from their possession.

Further investigation is underway in this regard.
