Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to File Defamation Case Against Ashok Gehlot

New Delhi: Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat moved Rouse Avenue court to file a defamation case against Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Gajendra Singh claimed that the Rajasthan CM made defamatory statements against him in connection with the Gehlot’s alleged involvement in the Sanjivani Credit Society scam.

Union Minister Shekhawat has demanded prosecution against Gehlot under the IPC sections for criminal defamation and also demanded appropriate financial compensation for the loss of his reputation.

“Their reputation has suffered irreparable damage,” Shekhawat alleged in his criminal defamation complaint.

On February 28, Ashok Gehlot accused Shekhawat of being involved in the alleged Sanjivani Credit Cooperative Society scam.
