Vigilance Traces Rs 4.19 cr Bank Deposits of IDCOL Dy Manager

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials have traced Rs 4.19 crore in bank deposits in the name of IDCOL Deputy Manager Gaya Santara.

“Bank deposits in different banks worth ₹.4.19 Crores have been traced in 4 accounts out of 16 Bank accounts found. Deposits in rest Bank accounts, Insurance deposits, and other financial transactions are under verification,” said Odisha Vigilance Official.

Vigilance officials have also traced 13 plots including 7 plots in the prime area of Bhubaneswar, 5 plots in Jajpur, and 1 plot in Nayagarh; a 3-storeyed building located over plot No. 63/A, Sector -A, Zone D, Mancheswar Industrial Estate, Bhubaneswar; a 4-storeyed building (under construction) located over plot No. 295/2315, Jaydev Vihar, Bhubaneswar; 2 four wheelers (Grand i-10 & Hyundai Creta); and 4 two-wheelers in the name of Santara and his family members so far.

Odisha Vigilance conducted raids at the IDCOL Deputy Manager’s home, Gaya Santara on Tuesday, in relation to a case of possession of assets out of proportion to his known sources of income.

Seven teams of the Vigilance department, each commanded by an equal number of Deputy SPs, conducted raids at various places in Bhubaneswar, Koraput, Rayagada, and Nayagarh in response to allegations that the accused officer was in possession of disproportionate assets.
