World Hindi Conference Concludes in Fiji

Nadi (Fiji): The 12th World Hindi Conference concluded this morning in Nadi, Fiji. Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji Biman Prasad, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, Minister of State for External Affairs V Mueraleedharan and Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra addressed the closing ceremony.

The three-day Conference was organised by the Ministry of External Affairs in association with the Government of Fiji. The main theme of the conference was “Hindi – Traditional Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence.

Besides a plenary session based on the theme  10 parallel sessions were held. Representatives from 50 countries participated in the World Hindi Conference.

The governments of Fiji and India jointly hosted the summit in Nadi. Notably, this marks the first-ever trip of Dr Jaishankar to Fiji.

Dr Jaishankar stated in a tweet that he is eager to meet Hindi aficionados from all around the world.

Dr S. Jaishankar is also slated to go to Sydney, Australia on February 18. Since his first trip as the External Affairs Minister in February of last year, he has made three trips to Australia. In Sydney, he will meet with Australia’s top officials. Dr Jaishankar will also be present at the inaugural Australian Raisina@Sydney Conference.
