Worship Maa Skandamata on the Fifth Day of Chaitra Navratri

The fifth day of Shardiya Navratri coincides with the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. Goddess Sandamata is worshipped in the form of Goddess Durga on the fifth day of Navratri.

The form of Skandmata is mesmerizing. Skandamata, the form of Maa Durga, has four arms, in which two hands are holding lotus; in one hand Kartikeya is sitting in the form of a child and in the other hand the goddess is seen giving blessings. Please tell that the vehicle of the goddess is a lion, but she is seated in a lotus in this form.

Method of worship of Skandmata

Worship the Kalash before worshipping Maa Durga on the fifth day of Navratri. After this start worshipping Maa Durga and her form. First of all, do shaman with water. After this, offer flowers and garlands to the goddess. After this apply vermilion, kumkum, akshat, etc. Then put betel nut, cardamom, and clove in a pan and offer it. After this, offer fruits and sweets apart from this to Maa Skandmata. After that offer water.

Chant the mantra of the goddess by lighting a ghee lamp, and incense. After this recite Durga Chalisa, and Durga Saptashati and finally perform the aarti of Skandamata with Durga Maa.
