Youth Arrested for Criticizing Odisha Govt in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A youth was arrested for allegedly criticising the Odisha government as well as leaders from the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on a Facebook page in Bhubaneswar.

The arrested youth was identified as  Priti Prakash Nayak, a resident of Hatadihi in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.

According to sources, Priti Prakash posted several videos on his Facebook page targeting the State government and some top BJD leaders.

Recently, he posted a video in connection to Jajpur MLA and BJD’s organising secretary Pranab Prakash Das after he called himself a ‘slave’.

Nayak was reportedly arrested under sections 506, 354 and 509 of IPC and sections 66(c) and 67 of the IT Act.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
