Youth Arrested for Killing His School Teacher in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A youth was arrested for killing his former school teacher in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Saturday. The body of the brutally murdered school teacher was found in the Hatadihi block of the district two weeks back.

The accused was identified as Arup. He was a student of the deceased Anirudh Swain, who was a Maths teacher at Dhenka High School.

According to sources, Arup had a good relation with Anirudh. The accused even used to stay at Anirudh’s house. Reportedly, for some reason, the duo had a tussle that had enraged the accused. Arup allegedly took a knife and stone and attacked Anirudh leading to his death on the spot.

After committing the murder, he fled from the scene with the victim’s two-wheeler.

Anirudh’s body was recovered from a canal after two weeks. Police also seized the bike and weapons used in the crime.

Investigating police officials were able to track down the accused at Kaniari village of Dhenka panchayat within Soso police limits. arrested Arup will be produced in court soon.
