+2 Girl Student Dies As Bus Hits Her Scooter in Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: A terrible accident claimed the life of a young girl student today in the Dhenkanal district after a bus struck her scooter near Baghalunda Chhak.

The victim, identified as Ipsita Barala was a +2 second-year student at a higher secondary school in Gaudakateni.

According to accounts, Ipsita was riding her scooter to college this morning to attend classes when a bus struck the two-wheeler. Locals present at the spot rescued her and rushed her to the Dhenkanal district headquarters hospital (DHH), where doctors pronounced her dead.

On the other hand, locals and Ipsita’s friends staged a protest by blocking National Highway 55 demanding compensation. However, the police arrived at the scene soon after and calmed down the enraged locals and students.
