Another Cyclonic Circulation Likely To Form Around Oct 18: IMD

Bhubaneswar: While the cyclonic circulation over the central Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood now lies over west-central & adjacent southwest Bay of Bengal and extends up to 3.1 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height, another cyclonic circulation is likely to form over north Andaman Sea & neighbourhood around October 18 according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Under the impact of the system thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhargarh, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, and Nabarangapur during the next 24 hours, the IMD has said in its latest bulletin and has issued a ‘yellow’ warning for these districts.

Besides, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangapur and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha during the same period, the IMD bulletin added.
