Anubhav-Varsha Marital Discord: Cuttack Family Court Directs Both To Pay Penalty For Delaying Proceedings

Cuttack: In the Anubhav-Varsha marital discord matter, a Cuttack family court has imposed a penalty of Rs 5000 each on both Kendrapara MP, Anubhav Mohanty and his wife actor Varsha Priyadarshini for deliberately delaying court proceedings in the case.

The court has also accepted petitions filed by the estranged couple over modification in the marriage venue and witness hearing.

Earlier, Varsha had withdrawn the petition that she had filed in the Orissa High Court where she had urged for interrogation of husband cum actor Anubhav Mohanty again. Following this, the HC closed the matter.

It is to be noted that Anubhav had filed a case in the Patiala House Court in Delhi in 2020 seeking divorce from Barsha. This case had been transferred to Cuttack Family Court with the directive of the Supreme Court. On April 5, 2021, both Anubhav and Varsha appeared in the Family court.
