Bank Official Goes Missing From Bolangir Bridge; Search Ops Underway

Bolangir: A bank official reportedly went missing from near a bridge over Ong River under Loisingha police limits of Bolangir district on Wednesday.

The missing official has been identified as Dibya Ranjan Mishra, an Agriculture Officer of Punjab National Bank at Barpali in Bargarh district.

According to family sources, Mishra had spoken with his family on the phone while leaving the bank on Tuesday. However, his phone got disconnected after around 7 PM and the family members did not get any response.

On being informed, locals searched for the officer but in vain. After a frantic search, some locals found Mishra’s motorbike and footwear on the bridge yesterday evening. Meanwhile, police reached the spot and initiated a search operation.
