Bhubaneswar Asst. Engineer In Vigilance Radar

Bhubaneswar: In connection with allegations that Asst. Engineer, GPH Division-I, Bhubaneswar, Manas Ranjan Samal possessed assets out of proportion to his known sources of income, officials from the Odisha Vigilance department conducted multiple raids this morning.

On the basis of search warrants granted by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, agents of the anti-corruption agency conducted simultaneous searches.

The vigilance department had prior intel inputs regarding the disproportionate assets and raided the following places:

(1) Triple-storied building over plot No E/122, Sector -7, CDA, Cuttack.

(2) Single-storied building located at Champatipatna, Salipur, Dist. Cuttack.

(3) One flat vide No. 206-B.B. Block, Srusti Plaza, Kantilo, Jatani.

(4) Residential house of his relative located at Gandikapur, near Kujanga, Dist. Jagatsinghpur.

(5) Office chamber at GPH Division no. -I at Bhubaneswar.

(6) House of his friend located at Champatipatna, Salipur, Dist. Cuttack.

Three DSPs, eleven inspectors, two sub-inspectors, five ASIs, and other members of the Vigilance staff oversaw the searches.

As of the latest reports, the searches continued, and the overall value of his mobile and immovable goods had not yet been determined.
