Big Success in health department of the State, Kidney transplant to start at AIIMS from August

Bhubaneswar: The much awaited renal transplant surgery at AIIMS Bhubaneswar is set to begin in August. In this regard, the Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Prof. Dr. Mukesh Tripathi informed. He said that the permission for it has been granted by the National Institution and the State Government’s Directorate of Medical Education and training.

In addition, a dedicated burn and plastic ward, new trauma, emergency ward and dharmasala are set to open here soon, the director said. According to sources more than 4,500 patients come to Bhubaneswar from the state and neighboring states everyday for treatment.
