Bhubaneswar: With the buzz of an early election in the air, Odisha ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is all set to celebrate its foundation day in Puri on Monday. BJD is completing its 25 years of formation this year.

Preparations for the occasion are in the final stage, where the mega event will mark the victorious journey of the BJD in Odisha to form the government for more than two decades.

The venue for the party function was finalized after Chief minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik wrote a letter addressed to his party workers and cadres on last Monday.

The letter read Odisha people’s continuous blessings, support, and good wishes have encouraged the BJD to continue working with its agenda of integrated development.

“The 25-year’s successful journey and people’s continued love for us is a matter of delight. Every worker of the party will attend the celebration in Puri,” Naveen wrote, asking them to take the 25 years of achievement to new heights.

Naveen also declared that the BJD will also celebrate the 25 years of its commissioning in all 147 assembly constituencies. Celebrations are scheduled to be organised throughout the year to mark the 25th year of the establishment of the party.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for the grand party meeting and get-together at Talabania in Puri town, which is almost ready to receive tens of thousands of BJD workers from across the states.
