BJP On Verge Of Winning Dhamnagar Battleground

Dhamnagar: With Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leading for now in Bhadrak’s Dhamnagar, BJP candidate Suraj has maintained a stable lead against BJD’s Abanti Das by a margin of 7972 votes.

After the completion of the 16th round of counting of votes for by-poll, Suraj has bagged 70,946 votes.

According to the bulletin issued by the Chief Electoral Officer(CEC) Odisha, BJD candidate Abanti Sahu has so far got 62,974 votes. Similarly, Congress candidate Baba Harekrishna Sethi has got 3019 votes and the independent candidate Rajendra Kumar Das has got 7577 votes so far, read the bulletin.

Worth mentioning, another two rounds of counting are yet to be performed, which will determine the result of the Dhamnagar by-poll.
