BJP’s Pradip Purohit Accuses BJD Of Interfering In Congress’ Election Affair

Bargarh: Hours after BJP nominated its party candidate, Pradip Purohit for Padampur by-elections, the latter slammed Odisha ruling BJD party on Friday.

Purohit accused the BJD of interfering in the Congress election affair in order to gain the Opposition party’s votes.

He alleged that the state ruling party is selecting the candidate for Congress party even though both are fighting the by-poll against each other.

“By this formula, BJD has eyed the divided votes of the Congress party. Congress had sold 10000 votes during previous elections. But, citizens of Padampur are well aware of this and won’t repeat the mistake this time,” Purohit said.

Earlier in the day, BJP named Purohit as the party nominee for the ensuing by-poll. to mention that the voting for the bypoll will be held on December 5 while results are scheduled to be declared on December 8.

The last date for filing of nomination is November 17 while scrutiny will be held on November 18. Candidates can withdraw their papers by November 21.
