Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday approved a Rs 25 crore master plan for the development of the Sikharchandi temple in Bhubaneswar.
The Shikarchandi temple and its surrounding area will be upgraded and developed as one of the main attractions of Bhubaneswar city. The improvement will be done in an area of 53.64 acres.
According to the master plan, the total area will be divided into 4 zones. In Zone 1, parking, public sports and other activities will be improved and other facilities will be developed.
Zone II will have viewpoints and trekking routes. In Zone-3 and 4, infrastructure, community centre, main building improvement, shop house and other facilities will be provided for recreational activities.
