Corporators Allege CMC Commissioner Of Misbehaviour, Lock Municipality Office In Protest

Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) was in a state of tangible tension when local corporators sealed the office on the grounds of misbehaviour by the CMC commissioner Nikhil Pawan Kalyan.

If reports are to be believed, corporators visited the CMC commissioner’s office to speak to Nikhil Pawan Kalyan over the non-transfer of JEEs in charge of the various wards throughout the city. However, the CMC commissioner is reported to have treated them poorly.

After sealing the office in protest, the corporators sat on a dharna on the CMC premises and sought Pawan Kalyan’s resignation or transfer. Subhash Singh, the mayor of the CMC, intervened and tried to talk sense into the corporators, but to no avail.

However, CMC Commissioner Nikhil Pawan Kalyan is yet to respond to the accusations of inappropriate behaviour.
