Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic storm is predicted to be over the Bay of Bengal on December 8, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
According to the weather agency, a Low-Pressure Area has developed over the south Andaman Sea and the surrounding area due to cyclonic activity over the area and the adjacent equatorial Indian Ocean and Strait of Malacca.
The cyclonic system, however, will have no direct impacts on Odisha, the regional meteorological centre of IMD clarified.
