4 Of Family Killed as Hyva Truck Rams Motorcycle In Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: In a devastating accident near Pingua locality under Nihalprasad police jurisdiction, four family members lost their lives today when their motorcycle collided with a Hyva truck.

The deceased, whose identities are yet to be confirmed, included a couple and their two children. According to a senior officer at Nihalprasad police station, the tragic incident occurred while the family was travelling within the district. The husband and wife died on the spot, while their son and daughter succumbed to their injuries in a hospital despite immediate medical attention.

Locals immediately responded to the accident, rushing the injured children to a nearby healthcare facility. Unfortunately, their efforts to save the children were in vain, as confirmed by a treating doctor.

Police reached the spot after being alerted by the locals, seizing both the motorcycle and the truck involved. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident. The Hyva truck driver reportedly fled the scene and remains at large.
