Dreaded Criminal Bikash Behera Killed In Group Clash In Nayagarh

Nayagarh: Dreaded criminal Bikash Behera was killed in a group clash at Madhyakhand village under Daspalla police limits in Nayagarh district past midnight on Monday.

Behera has over 15 criminal cases against his name in Nayagarh district and outside.

Meanwhile, police have detained two persons in this connection.

According to reports, two groups clashed past midnight on Diwali over the bursting of firecrackers in Madhyakhand village. One of the groups was led by Behera.

A member of the other group allegedly stabbed Behera. A profusely bleeding Behera was initially rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Daspalla.

He was shifted to the district headquarters hospital here as his health condition deteriorated. However, he was declared dead by the doctors.
