Eco Retreat in Konark to Start from December 1

Puri: The fourth edition of the popular beach festival–Eco Retreat– at Konark in the Puri district will begin on December 1 of this year. The event will continue till March 15, 2023.

District Collector Samarth Verma chaired a meeting with all the stakeholders regarding the Eco retreat on Thursday. He suggested that this year’s eco-retreat be organized in a more interesting and entertaining manner.

As per the discussion, 70 luxury tents will be set up for visitors on the beach in which facilities similar to star hotels will be provided. Arrangements like water sports, beach sports, and indoor games will also be made available for visitors.

Additionally, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water, mobile network, healthcare facilities, fire fighting system, parking arrangements, security arrangements, and 24×7 lifeguard facility will also be provided.

Collector Samarth Verma has asked all the departments to work in coordination and cooperate with the tourists coming from outside.

The previous year, the eco-retreat festival was held in Konark, Satakosia, Bhitarkanika, Daringbadi, Hirakud, Pati Sonapur, and Koraput.
