ED To Probe Financial Transactions Of Serial Extortionist Archana & Her Husband

Bhubaneswar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched an investigation into the financial transactions of the prime accused Archana Nag, and her husband Jagabandhu Chand in the high-profile sextortion case in Bhubaneswar.

According to reports, a meeting among high-level officials has also been convened. The agency will investigate and trace the sources from where the couple earned such a huge amount of money.

Several prominent personalities including businessmen and political biggies have paid a huge amount of money to Archana and her husband. The ED may investigate and unearth the reason behind the payments.

The ED will soon collect all the required information from the Commissionerate Police and begin the investigation.

Earlier, Archana and her husband Jagabandhu, who are currently lodged in the Jharpara Special Jail here, met each other in the presence of the jail superintendent on Sunday.

Notably, the Commisionerate Police had arrested Archana on October 6 on charges of honey trapping several bigwigs and extorting huge amounts of money from them. Later, her husband was arrested on October 22 in this connection.
