Great news for Government employees: Odisha govt raises DA by 3%

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Festive season, the Odisha government on September 19 announced a major hike in the dearness allowance (DA) for the state government employees. As per the latest notification, the allowance will be hiked by 3%.

Chief Minister of the state, Naveen Patnaik today approved the proposal for a hike in the dearness allowance for the state government employees.

Accordingly, the dearness allowance of the government employees has been increased to 34 percent from the existing 31 percent. The hike in the dearness allowance will be applicable retrospectively from 1^st January 2022, the latest Odisha government notification says.
