Heavy Rains To Lash Odisha Till August 14

Bhubaneswar: The India Meterological Department’s (IMD) regional centre here on Wednesday informed that the depression over interior Odisha and adjoining Chhattisgarh is likely to move west-northwestwards and gradually weaken into a low-pressure area during the next 24 hours.

According to Met officials, the depression over interior Odisha and adjoining Chhattisgarh moved west-northwestwards and weakened into a Well Marked Low-Pressure Area at 05.30 am today over Chhattisgarh and adjoining cast Madhya Pradesh.

Under the influence of the above system, fairly widespread/widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms, and lightning is very likely over Odisha from August 10 to 14. Isolated very heavy rainfall is also likely over Odisha on August 10, 13, and 14.
