Illegal Arms Manufacturing Unit Busted In Boudh

Boudh: An illegal arms manufacturing unit has been busted Tuesday by Boudh police at Saleipada village under Manamunda police limits of the district.

A person, identified as Seshadev Bindhani (27) has also been arrested and several arms and ammunition including manufacturing articles were seized from his house.

Acting on a tip-off, Inspector A K Bhitria, along with Manmunda PS staff conducted a raid on his house this morning.

Police seized One country-made pistol (big), one country-made pistol (small), four nos. of country-made guns (single barrel muzzle loading), and several manufacturing articles seized from his house.

Three gelatin sticks from the accused who was manufacturing firearms in his house illegally for the purpose of selling to antisocial criminals, as per police officials.

The accused person Seshadev has been arrested and will be produced before the court along with the seized articles. Further Investigations are underway.
