Junior Engineer Commits Suicide By Hanging Self In Kendrapara

Kendrapara: A young man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his rented house in Kendrapara’s Marshaghai area on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ashutosh Sahu (23), an engineer at Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) office here.

According to reports, the incident came to the fore this morning after neighbours of Ashutosh found him hanging inside his rented house at Marshaghai in Kendrapara district.

Upon being informed, police arrived at the spot and brought the body down. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem to the Marshaghai CHC and informed the same to Ashutosh’s parents.

According to police, the deceased was a resident of Sailashree Vihar in Bhubaneswar.

Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that he ended his life by hanging himself.

Police have registered a case in this regard and started an investigation into the matter to unearth other details.
