Kishore Bhaina Famous Eatery Resumes Its Business A Day After Being Sealed By BMC

Bhubaneswar: A day before Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials cancelled the city’s one of the popular eatery shops– Kishore Hotel’s food registration license, the shop resumed its business today.

The city’s eatery shop near the Doordarshan office was reportedly sealed for violating food safety guidelines and not maintaining proper hygiene.

“The food safety team of BMC today inspected shops near Doordarshan. Food colours, expired sauces & stale crabs at restaurant were destroyed. Food registration cancelled & penalty also imposed for poor sanitation,” the civic body announced on its official Twitter handle.

However, a day after being sealed the shop, which is famous for mutton curry, was found doing its regular business today.

According to sources, Kishore hotel has been selling food using synthetic food colour, expired sauces and food colours. A huge amount of stale crabs have also been destroyed by the BMC inspection team.

It is noteworthy that, the officials also destroyed the food. A hefty fine was levied on the hotel for not maintaining hygienic conditions.
