New Delhi: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) expresses deep sorrow over the tragic train accident in Balasore, Odisha. LIC remains dedicated to assisting those affected by expediting claim settlements, thereby providing crucial financial support during this difficult time. Siddhartha Mohanty, the Chairperson of LIC, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families.
To alleviate the hardships faced by the claimants of LIC Policies and the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, LIC has announced several concessions. As proof of death, the list of casualties published by Railway authorities, police, or any state or Central Government authorities will be accepted in place of registered death certificates.
To address claim-related queries and offer assistance to claimants, a Special Help Desk has been established at the Divisional and Branch levels. Every effort will be made to promptly reach out to claimants and settle claims efficiently, ensuring support for the affected families.
