Man Dies, Wife Critical After Being Attacked By Miscreants In Cuttack

Cuttack: A man was killed by some unidentified miscreants at Lendura Bhagabanpur village under Nemal police limits in Cuttack district on Thursday night.

According to reports, the deceased man’s wife was also critically injured by the miscreants and is now battling for life at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Reportedly, looters had barged into the house of the deceased Hrusikesh Muduli last night. The looters attacked Hrusikesh and his wife Kanaklata when the couple tried to stop them.

After committing the crime, miscreants fled the spot. While Muduli died on the spot, his wife was lying in a pool of blood when others spotted them.

Hrusikesh’s children had been locked in another room when the incident occurred, reports said.

On being informed, Nemal Police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the matter.
