Man’s Body Found Stuffed in Trolley Bag in Khordha Forest; Probe Ordered

Khordha: A man’s body was discovered tucked inside a trolley bag on Sunday in Khordha district’s Haripur jungle, which is under the Nachuni police limits.

The body was reportedly stuffed in a blue trolley bag just ten metres into the woodland from the road, according to sources. The man’s body was allegedly packed in a trolley bag and dumped in the forest by some miscreants to conceal the murder.

The body was discovered by some villagers, who then called the police. A scientific team and the police arrived on the scene quickly to conduct an investigation. A sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) from Balugaon also stopped by the location.

It was claimed that the forest had become a haven for criminals. Empty liquor bottles and glasses were discovered a few metres away from the body.

A dog squad has also pressed into service to establish the circumstances leading to the death of the man.

“The 2.5-kilometre stretch between National Highway 16 and Haripur is congested, with day and nighttime traffic from five panchayats. This is the first time a body has been dumped here. According to a local of Balugaon, the attackers believed they could quickly dispose of the body here without any trouble.

The case is being looked into further.
