Murder Convict Dies While Serving Life Term In Puri’s Bangar Jail

Puri: The deceased prisoner was identified as Biswanath Baliar Singh, a local of the Puri’s Blajitpur.

Biswanath and 11 other people were found guilty of murder and sentenced to prison on July 16, 2022. Biswanath was suffering from a condition and his health had deteriorated a few days back.

As soon as Biswanath’s health started to deteriorate further today, he was sent to the hospital at the Puri District Headquarters for treatment. However, the medical staff pronounced him dead on arrival.

Biswanath’s family members went to the hospital on being informed. His daughter revealed that her father had a gastrointestinal problem, which ultimately caused his death.

It should be mentioned that the Puri District Court gave life sentences to Biswanath and the other 11 accused in a murder case.
